Retailer Best Buy is celebrating its 60th anniversary by offering $100 gift cards for only $60. The special promotion is scheduled for one day only on August 22, and shoppers must visit a physical store location in person to purchase the discounted gift card.

Because quantities are limited, Best Buy encourages customers to show up early. Fine print details state that each participating Best Buy location will stock a minimum of 50 gift cards. The timing of the deal provides an opportunity for consumers eyeing upcoming major releases, such as the $100 Ultimate Edition of GTA 6, allowing buyers to effectively secure the version for $60. Alternatively, shoppers can use the $100 value to purchase the game's $80 standard edition with money left over, or spend it on other store inventory.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
