AMD reaches $1 trillion market cap milestone
AMD joins the trillion-dollar club this week as its stock climbs to over $610 per share, marking five consecutive days of gains. The chip maker now ranks among the world's most valuable tech companies.

AMD has crossed the $1 trillion market capitalization threshold for the first time, reaching the milestone during intraday trading this week. The stock climbed above $610 per share, extending a five-day winning streak.
The achievement places AMD alongside other major technology companies that hit the same mark recently. Micron and SK Hynix both reached $1 trillion in market cap this year. NVIDIA accomplished the feat in 2023 and currently sits around a $5.4 trillion market cap.
AMD's rise comes after a period of weakness. The company's stock declined at the end of July and beginning of August following its Q2 2026 earnings results, despite beating expectations. During the earnings call, CEO Dr. Lisa Su noted that AMD expects a softer PC market in the second half of 2026.
The company has maintained momentum through its AI products and business segment, which has offset concerns about the broader PC market. AMD's continued strength in data center and AI chip sales has driven investor confidence in recent trading sessions.
