Abu Dhabi University partners with Pearson on video game design degree
Abu Dhabi University has partnered with Pearson Education to enhance its Bachelor of Arts in Video Game Design programme with AI-enhanced learning, industry mentorship, and digital credentials.

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has partnered with Pearson Education Limited to support its Bachelor of Arts in Video Game Design programme. The collaboration focuses on AI-enhanced learning and industry engagement to prepare students for careers in the gaming sector.
Pearson will serve as a preferred academic content and digital learning partner, providing access to digital learning platforms, subject matter experts, and educational consultants. Students can earn Pearson-recognised digital credentials, including Pearson Credly badges, through eligible learning activities.
The partnership includes faculty development workshops, product training, and teaching seminars alongside student employability and industry engagement initiatives. Pearson will recruit ADU students into its Campus Ambassador Program, offering selected students work experience while supporting their peers.
ADU's Video Game Design programme was established in 2025 as the region's first joint degree programme with Rubika France. The degree combines education with hands-on experience in the games industry while supporting research and innovation across video game design and creative arts.
The partnership aligns with the UAE's focus on developing future-ready specialisations and digital economic development. The UAE's gaming sector generated revenues of AED 2.7 billion ($735 million) from digital gaming platforms in 2025, according to the UAE National Media Authority.
