Samson Developer Confirms September Release Window For Xbox Series X|S
Following a mixed PC launch, developer Liquid Swords has confirmed that Samson will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in September.
Developer Liquid Swords has confirmed a September release window for the upcoming console versions of Samson, bringing the crime-thriller title to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The announcement follows a rough PC launch that was met with a mixed reception from players, primarily driven by bugs, a lack of polish, and poor performance.
Despite the initial hurdles, the developer promised major improvements and outlined a 2026 roadmap to address community feedback. Liquid Swords has stated that they have been hard at work to deliver the experience they spent years developing, with founder Christofer Sundberg recently noting on social media that the console versions are progressing well and are scheduled to land on platforms including Xbox Series X|S this September.
Set within the crime-ridden streets of Tyndalston, Samson blends driving mechanics with close-quarters combat. The narrative follows the titular character as he returns to a city that shaped him, forced to take on dangerous foes to protect his sister while deep in debt. Often described as a direct, no-nonsense style of beat-'em-up and driving game, the title's upcoming console release aims to deliver a much more polished experience compared to its initial PC debut.
